Art competition on “climate change and natural disaster”

In an effort to spread awareness among students on various aspects of environmental issues, Kathmandu Institute of Applied Sciences (KIAS) organized an art competition on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Theme of the competition was climate change and natural  disaster. Thirty two high students-both girls and boys from different schools of Kathmandu valley gathered at Kanjirowa National School, Balkumari Lalitpur and painted their imagination on changing climate and the disaster they see around.

Co-organizers of the event were community-based rainfall measurement program (CORAM-Nepal) and ISET-Nepal. Student competitors drew beautiful paintings. Later, winners of the competition were announced and prize were distributed to the winners.
